Magic in the Making

As far back as the 1600s, my ancestors were masters of cutlers guilds - forging weaponry, relics, and ceremony from metal. I didn’t know this about myself until years into my own metalsmithing practice. By then, it made complete sense.

I’ve always had a relationship with things that are a little strange, a little otherworldly. My favorite childhood shirt had a giant, lime green, sparkly alien face on it. I loved it fiercely - and eventually learned to hide it, the way we all learn to sand down the parts of ourselves that don’t quite fit.

Sterling Earthling is what happened when I stopped doing that.

I started in the business in 2014 working with vintage and antique silver - spending years working with estates, valuing collections, learning to read the energy that lives in old things. In 2021 I picked up metalsmithing tools for the first time. It felt like remembering something, not learning something.
It was an ancestral gift, waiting to be realized.

What I didn’t expect was what came with it. As my hands learned the craft, something else opened up - an intuitive sense that had always been quietly there, now finding a place to land. I began reading birth charts, studying the metaphysical properties of stones and metals, and listening to what came through when I sat with someone’s energy before ever picking up a tool. I discovered that the most meaningful pieces weren’t just made - they were received.

Now I work from my home studio in Nashville, combining ancestral craft with astrology, intuition, and a deep reverence for the magic that lives inside everyday materials. Earth, air, water, fire - and something harder to name - go into every piece I make. When I create for someone, I’m not just fabricating jewelry. I’m pulling their chart, sitting with their story, and letting what I find shape every stone I choose and every line I forge.

I believe the right piece, made with intention and built from a true reading of who you are, can hold something for you that words can’t. I make heirlooms - not just for you, but for whoever comes after you, carrying their own journey.

This is the work I was always going to do.
I just had to find my way back to it.
