The black bird is an example of our upcoming intuitive customs. Each intuitive custom is a 1 of 1, and will not be recreated.
The necklace features a hand painted porcelain black bird by Kristin Beaver. The porcelain black bird measures about 1 inch x 1 inch. It is set in sterling silver featuring a sterling branch, and hangs on an 18 inch sterling silver paper clip chain.
Traditionally, blackbirds are seen as messengers from the spirit realm. They symbolize transformation, intuition, and the connection between earth and the spirit realm.
The intuitive messages I received while creating this piece are as follows:
You are someone who has never been afraid of the darker aspects of life. You do not view the “dark” aspects as negative - they are simply aspects of life that help create balance. You may view yourself as the “black sheep.” Perhaps at one time, you felt outcasted, and yearned to be seen as “normal” and fit in. Now you have learned to recognize this as a strength. Someone who goes against the grain, takes the path less traveled, and inspires others to do the same. You have overcome a great deal of adversity and trauma. Instead of running from it, you learned to sit with yourself in the darkness and see the strength it has given you. You’ve learned to transmute the darkness and pain into something beautiful - perhaps in artistic form, or extending a guiding hand to others in similar situations. You have become or are working towards being a guiding light for others stuck in their darkness. What once felt all consuming, as if there was no end, you have transmuted into a gift and strength. Many may still not understand your path, but you take pride in your strength of overcoming your obstacles, and know there is a beautiful view ahead. Although you may not see it, many look to you and admire your strength and your journey.
There were several song references that came through.
”Blackbird” by Alter Bridge
”Beyond the suffering you’ve known, I hope you find your way. May you never be broken again.”
The song begins solemn and soft, but it builds and encapsulates the vision of a blackbird flying through and weathering a storm, where it travels to more peaceful skies. We find our strength through the storms of life, which makes the peaceful days that much more gratifying.
”Blackbird” by The Beatles
”Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise.”
You have weathered the storms, tended to and healed your wounds. The calmer skies you dreamt of and longed for during the storms have arrived. What will you do with your new found strength? Sure, there will be more storms to weather, but now you are not afraid. Do not long for the storms because you’ve found comfort in them. Go out in the peaceful skies to fly, and rise. You’ve earned this.
”Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac
”She rules her life like a bird in flight, and who will be her lover? All your life you’ve never seen woman taken by the wind.”
Your journey may have been lonely, but you’ve learned to enjoy your solitude. Do not sacrifice yourself for love. Many admire you and wish to clip your wings and keep you in a cage only for themselves. This is not love, you are not meant to be caged. Fly freely, stay true to your path, and in time you will find your flock. You are admired by many, but few will understand your path and choose to join you. Have patience, you will find the right ones, and most likely you will be their inspiration.
